"Ha ha you actually have to think a little bit about these stories, so they must not make any sense! Now pass me that copy of Batman #762, the one where Batman grits his teeth and goes 'Joker, your rein of terror ends here!' and then PUNCHES HIM IN THE FACE! Now THAT'S a comic which makes sense!"

Indeed. I still dig old school 80s metal, and it's strange how the youtube comments of these bands are always full of "LOL Lars Ulrich sux dix! fuk Metallicrap Megadeth 4ever!" comments.

I also had my penis out during that nude walk, and I didn't get paid anything.

It is, of course, a big crock. I just read the interview, and he says he "hasn't bought an album since 1986". But a quick google search shows the 90s and early 00s are full of Van Halen interviews talking at length about Nirvana, White Stripes, Strokes, and a ton of rock/punk bands.

You got what I meant here: It's not a problem with sadness, depression, angst, whatever - those things happen. What bothered me was (and still does) how trendy it became to be unhappy. How people made it part of their identity, and started faking it. People faking unhappiness to be cool.

Nightswatchman #1: "Well, Jon Snow's dead. Let's burn his body, like we've done in EVERY OTHER SCENE where someone dies near the Wall."

People still believe anything they see at E3 huh?

The success of Spiral also set in stone the "popular music = whiny white men" 90s and early 2000's. So Korn, Limp Bizkit, etc. etc.

Nine Inch Nails, and this album, cured my teenage angst.

I kind of hate "RIP" - it never reads as "rest in peace" to me, but actually "rip", like you'd rip a piece of paper.

Good. I'm glad they cut the Lady Stoneheart thing from the books too.

I think "maga" is latin for "effort". So if you remove the effort from a magazine, you get a "zine".

"(side note: I swear I've seen something very similar to that "everyone takes a stab" scene in some other show or movie. Anyone have any ideas?)"

And to think… we've been talking about Star Wars prequels FOR FREE this whole time!

Keith Moon went out hardcore too. Don't let us down, Daltry and Townshed.

What does regret mean?

A much more plausible theory:

I think it's one of the few 90's movies that is smart enough to point towards the direction of the next decade too. I know Fight Club gets a lot of flack for, well basically being popular and talked about too much, but it's really a great movie, brilliant director, and if you ever have the chance to see Chuck

Fight Club was also that same summer/fall.

It made sense to me as a kid - based on the "One" video and a few pictures I had seen, Metallica did not look like they would have the best breath.
