Abominable.

I think, as nice a guy as he seems to be and as occasionally genuinely okay his material can be (mostly born from him being comfortable with his own awkwardness.) it just has to be said that he has got to be the luckiest man in comedy at the moment. Maybe in a long, long time.

It just kind of meandered for the whole thing, then just…ended. It was a bit awkward.

Tuned into this one because of the Miyazaki tribute I heard about. It was a pretty tame episode overall, but while I know it's really un-Simpsons traditionally, I rather liked the somewhat more optimistic outcome of this one. I know CBG is supposed to be like the embodiment of the forever alone

All very true. I think it's all just to drive home how really full of it both of them are, and that they're fooling very few people but just simply haven't been put into the spotlight until now.

Yeah but that's like saying a tree has leaves. Goes without saying.

It doesn't undermine it at all I think. Walt is not a complete person. He's in constant, internal conflict with the part of him that's a family man, and the part of him that never moved on beyond Gray Matter. Its a conflict that's been a part of the series since the beginning.

Oh wow I never noticed that.

Yeah, Jesse's having quite a dreadful time.

I think for the sake of keeping the story focused, everything they wanted to say about the ups and downs of substance abusers' lives they say basically through Jesse's entire character.

There was just something…improvised about this. I really wasn't expecting it to be so anti-climatic.

Man, I have no idea how they're going to wrap this up in one hour but I guess we'll find out.

Great story but, I don't know what to think of that in regards to the state of this movie's quality.

I'm pretty sure he can't either.

I guess I could understand why an actor may want to steer clear of a potential debacle like this, it'd just be a shame if it were truly because of the fear of reprisal from a racist minority.

I loved this movie, but then again I grew up with Kaiju movies and had a pretty healthy obsession with mecha anime and this film was basically an attempt at making a Go Nagai story into a live action movie. Idris Elba's character might as well have screamed "GETTER BEAM!" or something at one point.

It really sucks that they were pulled at the last minute, but I'm not entirely sure what else people expected of a live appearance from them on a show like Colbert's. They're not exactly a traditional stage band or something. Even most of their live concerts are more light shows or presentations with them…basically

I think bringing up data to excuse texting while driving, like it's supposed to make it okay, is sort of missing the point.

After this first season I really do think this show's just on another level from all other animated shows right now. There's really nothing else like it, animated or not, being shown at the moment…and even quite a long time before this.

The scene when Homer gets really pissed at his dad always stood out to me. Homer gets mad a lot in this show obviously…and usually it's funny but even when it's meant to be a bit more serious it's still sort of par the course for his character but when he got mad at Abe in this it was almost like, unsettlingly
