He'd better be fine with unexplained sponge migrations
Egon Spangler - "I collect spores, molds and fungus". Yup, you sure do now.
It would be incredibly distasteful to NOT include an all-CGI Harold Ramis in this movie.
Congo 2; Christmas Ape Goes To Summer Camp
Vegas Vacation. Clark Griswald (played by Chevy Chase) comments to his son and daughter that he hardly recognises them these days. This is a reference to the fact that, for all four Vacation movies to date, all had used different actors for the kids. From memory, the line is followed by a small awkward silence.
My favourite in this category is easily "Trying To Be Cool" by Phoenix. It may not have the razzle dazzle of some of the FX-heavy one-take videos, but it's hard not to be impressed with the amount of co-ordination required for these things.
A couple of pessimistic thoughts.
Don't follow TV shows on Facebook. Facebook works best when it's solely used to check if girls who went to your high school are still hot.
My girlfriend is no longer allowed to use Facebook on the night that new Walking Dead or Game of Thrones episodes air, because somebody always spoils it. Wait, Bender's head on its own can only mean one thing… his body is running around with Nixon's head on it. He'll sell our children's organs to zoos for meat, and he'll break into our houses at night and wreck up the place!
The first two sound like they are probably already songs by Of Montreal
I cannot think of any aspect of the history of The Beatles that has not already been comprehensively captured in documentaries and books, short of them exhuming the corpses of John and George to check their rate of decomposition.
American McGee's: The Wizard of Oz
I'm sure somebody else probably posted something similar before either of us did. When the riddle was originally mentioned in the previous episode, I immediately recognised it from The Office. When it popped up again, directed at Martin Freeman, I almost felt like it was a deliberate breaking of the fourth wall.
Lester solved the Fox, Rabbit and Cabbage riddle so easily because he already had to solve the conceptually identical Fox, Chicken and Grain riddle with Gareth Keenan when he worked at a paper merchant in Slough.
