Are they really? If they are found not guilty, do you think they still committed the crime? Rape is one of the hardest charges to defend because of the social stigma that even the charge brings to the table. As soon as a jury hears that it is a rape case, they look at the defendant differently.

He apparently acted like an asshole to the woman to the point where she had a mental breakdown, but he was acquitted of rape, which is not easy to do if you are guilty, especially if your co-defendant is convicted. I would be careful calling someone a rapist who had his day in court and was not convicted. I think

It is not worth $600.

Anything by the Misfits is what sprang to my mind.

We love the new Toy Cars album, and here's why you should, too

See if he'll get me a copy of the Louis Armstrong and the Band cd. That sounds awesome.

It seems like they were eventually paid for it. They shouldn't have had to petition, but at least they got paid. They should also be credited.

I'm not interested in telling anybody what they should or shouldn't watch, but, as a criminal defense attorney, it matters to me that people would ignore a show about the problems with the system because they found the defendant unlikable. Most of the prosecutors I know are decent people. The biggest assholes are the part-time ones in the small towns who get a chance to fuck with people and seize it. Some of them are even part-time criminal defense attorneys. The career prosecutors at least start out thinking they are protecting people (especially the

Wong Sun?

With Avery, you have the awful way the police handled the case. It should have cast doubt on the evidence. In real life, it is so hard to use police misconduct to create reasonable doubt because most people won't admit that police are just as shitty as everybody else. Even suggesting that police may have violated

The system truly works.

You're the reason Trent Harmon won!

He really fucked up that case. When I finished watching that series, I came away believing that Brendan was the only one everyone should agree was mistreated and whose Constitutional rights were violated. I don't think Stephen Avery should have been convicted on that evidence, but I've seen juries convict people on
