Based on what we've seen on HIMYM, they are going to completely abandon McLaren's for the most part after Barney and Robin get married. Mostly have already since the main reason they went there before was having an apartment above it.
They will when they're writing a textbook on Whedon's media influence. There's a lineage there that goes something like:
He did mentor his brother and both his bro and sister in law worked with Joss before. It's at least as much of a Whedon show as Grimm, Once Upon a Time, Wonderfalls, and Mad Men are. All of which feature writers he groomed. This one has writers he groomed who he's still supervising.
Hopefully it's not during the kiss.
In one of the previous flashforwards, it was established that Marshall hid beer behind the pulpit, hinting he would officiate the wedding.
Same chord progression as Cohen's Hallelujah, right? I want to hear a mashup of these now.
Ray Wise wasn't Robin's father in Season 2.
You need to make sure they play "One Week" at the party. It's your special song, after all.
If James is the alternate Barney, maybe he staged his divorce in an elaborate play to get Barney to the altar this weekend.
Kept? I'm pretty sure this is one sitting.
I hope it's a grand flashback that includes her at the St. Patrick's Day Party, that time when Ted saw her ankle, in Ted's class at Columbia. Oh. And her boyfriend, who they made a point of introducing last year for what I presume was a bit of housekeeping so we'd recognize him later and realize that the Mother was…
I'm hoping we get a callback to Barney's hippie/grunge virgin barista days. I always thought that was an uncomfortably close parallel to Robin's hippie rebirth in Latin America.
I think the point is that he's basically there to act out everything awful Barney could become after the wedding because he is EXACTLY like Barney. His maturity comes and goes just like Barney. He's just as… er… manizing as Barney is womanizing. But he's gay, black Barney. No wiser or more socially ept.
Need Kyle MacLachlan and Ray Wise onscreen together. Maybe toss in another Twin Peaks alum or two. Sheryl Lee as Robin's sister?
I hear that if the U.S. defaults, the Fed will switch to a Jason Segel-backed currency.
I was more startled by Stewart cheating. And with WHO? My guess is that it's someone we've seen before on the show. I doubt it's the mother. My guess is that one of Barney's exes seduced Stewart to get his plus one invite in place of Claudia to crash the wedding. That would probably be Britney Spears' character.
A really subtle gag was that they made Ted's "Thank You Note" costume look like his Hanging Chad costume. Then when we find out it's not, we see the Slutty Pumpkin who he's too distracted to notice… and she doesn't recognize him because he's not in his Hanging Chad costume. Meaning they could have met up in 2007 and…
Parks & Rec was at least interesting in that they pulled a Season 3 Office by rebooting the cast with a merger… and I liked that they lampshaded the reboot by reintroducing Larry to the cast.
Basic Human Anatomy?
