Just wanted to pop in and say that I just watched the pilot for the first time: wow. Awesome. Anybody who didn't think was amazing should probably stop watching television.

I agree that we can have both, but in the spirit of choosing, I would say Morris all day, easy. I love Herzog and his documentaries, but they are almost always about Herzog as much as they are about his subjects. Morris' docs tell a lot about the man, but they are first & foremost about the people in the films.

Yeah, it's funny. I find that a lot of the newer audience are better educated, better resourced, and are generally classier than the stereotypical knuckle-dragging Just Bleed guys that are associated with MMA (the UFC, in particular). There were a lot of well-built guys back then… they were huge, for sure, but they weren't all fatty tub fats like Abbott. Don Frye, Ken Shamrock, and Mark Coleman come to mind.
