Agreed. I wasn't paying attention to new music this year, but Fucked Up has been on heavy rotation since it's release.

Fucked Up
The show they played at Dundas Square was pretty amazing. A ridiculous(ly awesome) mix of people going apeshit over a hardcore band in downtown Tdot? Yes, please! The pit was kind of a drag, as it was filled with pinballing teenagers doing their best impression of ridiculous mosh-flailing, but it didn't…
Yeah, Pizza Pizza is a no go. I'm with Nicky, Pizza Nova is the best chain pizza available. That or walk your ass up to College, which isn't all that better, but at least there's selection. Chinatown is the closest, best place to eat. Kom Juag (Cum Jug's) has the best Pork & Rice in the city.
They're all amazing. Criterion has a great collection that has 'Murmur of the Heart', 'Lacombe, Lucien', and 'Au Revoir Les Enfants'.
Lacombe, Lucien
Ronnie is a CLASSIC abusive partner. He's fucking disgusting.
Cool.
I read the play a few years ago, and though I can't recall a whole lot, I remember enjoying it. I had no idea this movie existed, so this is a nice surprise.
Fucked Up
Damian Abraham, the lead singer of Fucked Up now hosts a new incarnation of The Wedge on MuchMusic in Canada, which is, by far, the best music video show to ever exist. I think it's on tonight at 10 for any Canadians in the house or any Muricans that get it (not sure what the broadcasting situation is in…
And yes, it's on this album.
That's a bit hyperbolic, but yeah, it's definitely my favourite Todd Snider song, and is a stone classic. I like to listen to it when I'm either really sad or really happy, or if I need a touch of confidence. Just an amazing song. And it's also one of the most fun songs to sing in the shower.
The Waco Brothers are extremely hit and miss, but that particular cover is just plain badass.
You're right, that cover is truly, truly awful. I'm pretty sure they didn't even understand what it was about, really. And I don't have a lot of faith that any band that would drop by would really able to do it justice, but I have hope to hear that fantasy-based killer version sometime in the future. I'm not…
@Miller
*monocle falls into brandy snifter*
Yeah, these parents sound like cunts.
Yes, absolutely. Frontline is BY FAR the best news program on American television, with 60 Minutes being a distant (albeit more entertaining) second. The only real rival Frontline has in Western television news is the CBC's Fifth Estate.
From what I understood, the hoax was regarding whether MBW was thought up and executed by Banksy himself . I can't see how it changes anything.
Forbidden Planet
I just watched Forbidden Planet last night on AMC. I kind of feel bad now about rubbing one out to the teenaged Ms. Francis. That plot is too damn enticing! RIP.
We are all commenting on AV Club Newswire article about the most pirated movie of the year. We are all equally foolish. Well, Gary is maybe winning that race, but it's close.
I've disliked Pitt quite a lot in the past because I feel he comes from the Sean Penn school of ACTING!!!!!!, but he fucking rocks it on BE.
