I disagree. There was that black guy who was awesome. Also, I tend to prefer female co-haters. It's appropriately girly.

Every time Amelie laughs…
I pretend that I made her do it. It makes me feel like a big man.

Yeah, I don't have a trust fund. I certainly wish I did, though. When I flew to Paris a few years ago I went on Zoom Airlines, which had ridiculously low rates. A round-trip to Paris and back was $450 CANADIAN, all in. Ultimately, Zoom went out of business. I'm not sure why.

The end of The Mist was awesome. Like, cheering in the theatre awesome.

I went onto a McDonalds in every European country I went to, and none of them- NONE- had milkshakes. Either they didn't make them or their machines were broken. And that's the only fucking reason I went there. Nothing like a good morningbeer chased with an ol chocolate milkshake to make hangovers less painful.

See, pheeze, I believe Firstie God has been around nearly as long as ZMF. And FG's persona is that of a black, Al Green-loving, Miller High Life-drinking, honky-hating pimp. Like something out of a George Pelecanos novel. I don't see what there is not to like. I much prefer this kind of verve to that of just

I liked Sunset Rubdown's latest album, but I think I just respond more to
Dan Boeckner's classic, scuzzy Springsteen-on-smack-fucking-around-with-synths project more than Krug's more intellectual work. Now, when they're mixed together= fucking gold. Face Control, IMO, is one of the most underrated records this year.

Best Song
I'll post this here because the Best Music feature is 18,000 comments long, but I would like people to post their favourite song of the decade. I think picking a favourite song plays more to people's eclecticism than entire albums. Sorry if this was done in the other article, but I'd like to get a sense

Wow
Great to see Sam Roberts on Hyden's list. This just goes to reinforce my idea that this was a tremendous decade for Canadian pop. I made a list on the Best Music article, but Sam Roberts slipped my mind.

Man, I completely forgot about 'Heartbreaker'. It's definitely up there for me.

Someone might have mentioned this elsewhere in the thousands of following comments, but there's no way that I can wade through all of those. I just want to mention that this was an especially strong decade for Canadian music. I could put together a SOLID top-whatever list with just Canadian albums. Feel free to

Yeah, that is surprising as hell. And pleasant as hell. 'What We've Learned' might be my favourite song of the '00s.

I would take Elephant over WBC by a wide margin. Then again, I'd take Icky Thump over Elephant, so what do I know?

Somehow I could think of very few albums, but tons of songs… so, my list for songs of the decade. (Numbered, but in no particular order.)

My List… off the top of my head… no blacks allowed! (apparently)
