True story
Watching 'Marked for Death' as an impressionable 7-year-old (and 8-13-year-old, as well) ingrained in me a healthy fear of Jamaicans. Their glassy eyes, their scarred faces… their voodoo. I honestly couldn't watch Cool Runnings for about ten years. And I fucking love Cool Runnings! Blast you, Seagal. …
@Tanooki
I don't get people who own books. I mean, who are you trying to impress?
"Yes, here we are, '9 1/2 Weeks'"
Jesus, this is a bad idea. Now, a musical version of "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" is something I could go for.
Why do things exist?
It's funny. Really funny. The funniest Danny DeVito moment in the entire series. (The funniest moment in the series?)
Junior Boys
I hope the Junior Boys are on the Best of the Decade list, because I don't see them on here…
Yeah, retro, I'm with you, man. I mean, where else will I be able to hear music for free on the internet?
I clicked on the little play button under the Dave Barry item, and then immediately realized that I live in Canada and therefore cannot listen to ANYTHING on this website. And because it doesn't work it just spazzes out and skips to the next track. But there are 55 tracks so it keeps spazzing, and it won't pause. …
I just watched it online, and have to say this is bound to become a Christmas tradition around the Jones house.
Dec. 25 + Hank Williams = Christmas
Christmas and Hank Williams go hand in hand. Go ahead, try it. It's something my family have been doing for years.
I don't think I say "aboot", but apparently it's a pretty common pronunciation, even when the speakers don't recognize it themselves. It's hard to say. I live in a fairly backwater place, though, and have heard it phrased that way on occasion.
'Sunny' is definitely the one glaring omission, IMO. I can't think of another (non-animated) show that's giving me that much bang for my buck. I would put it above Arrested Development, purely on laugh rate.
Ha. Yeah, I use "A taste, Jimmy, a taste" a lot in the everyday world.

I tune in to Cash Cab Canada whenever I remember it's on. Almost everyone I know loves the show and really would nut to be on it.
