Queer as Folk - well, I guess I have to give them respect for really pushing boundaries. But this show was fucking horrible mess as soon as they run out of Russell T Davies' ideas.

It's a great show, just not for you. I mean, what's the point to get so angry about it? When I find something to be boring, I just ignore it.

Last season he said he tests all the time. His reluctance to actually test this time was connected to his guilt and shame about his affair. Show made it so very obvious. It wasn't about test or HIV, it was about his feeling of shame. As for music fans knowing Take That - well, maybe he actually likes GOOD music.

I kind of think Patrick's subconsciously knows what he is doing is wrong. Hence his emotional breakdown in last episode. It's strong word, I know, but it was almost kafkaesque how his guilty conscious manifested itself in rashes and irrational HIV fear. But Kevin manipulated it out of him. Damn, such a trainwreck.

The thing that got my attention was first thing Kevin said when Patrick came to his office for their final confrontation, after HIV test. He said "Patrick, you can't tease me like that, lunch is hours away". Tease? Patrick just came in to his office, didn't say a word - and Kevin immediately says he is teasing him.

BTW, going back to our discussion about the episode and Patrick and Kevin's affair, it's interesting, but after watching episode several times, I was more and more creeped out by Kevin. To think about it, they really showed how bad and dirty this whole affair is.

Yeah, I read this article. I really like this approach, and HBO, it seems, really cares about LGBT projects, with The Normal Heart last year, and Montgomery Clift's biopic in the making. And Looking is the only gay show on the air, first in many years. I read some reports from San Francisko premiere, and by all

Ratings for second episode was just a little bit higher than for season premiere. Incredibly upsetting. I still hope HBO will keep the show despite low Nielsen ratings.

Absolutely. Little things like that are especially impressive.

This butt and those legs are works of art.

I wouldn't call Take That or Robbie Williams as solo artist the examples of culture all people should know. It's a boy band. As for Patrick not knowing his own culture - harsh words, don't know what are they based on.

Too neat for this show. I don't know, I think Agustine is too much of a mess and has too much issues to be good yenta.

I agree. But it happened in trailer, so at least it means that conversation between Richie and Agustine will be tense.

Hm, that's interesting. I don't really like Agustine, and I suspect that even with best intentions he still going to mess up. Also in trailer for second season you can see little moment from conversation between Agustine and Richie, when Richie asks him "Are you in love with him or something"? I suspect they are

Well, clocking somebody iS being abusive. I hope it will never happens on this show.

God, this so much! I think like I am going crazy when I see unstoppable criticism of this show. Too boring, too white, not enough gays, too many gays, too slutty, not slutty enough, too many drugs and parties, not enough drugs and parties. Seriously, I read it all. Those recaps and comments like breath of fresh air.

This! So much!

Kevin and Richie? I don't think Kevin going to feel like a dick in this situation. I don't think he would give a second thought to Richie. I mean, he cuts hair. For a living.

Maybe you are right, but I still can't shake the feeling that Kevin needs it more than Patrick. It was so from the beginning, but last episode, with Patrick ignoring his affair with Kevin as soon as Richie appeared, only confirmed my opinion. But those things can change.

I am not idealizing Patrick and Kevin's affair, I really feel it's self destructive and brings the worst in Patrick. But I also don't see it as simple as naive Patrick with manipulative Kevin. Kevin is a mess in this relationship as much as Patrick.
