Every fucking character on that show could be in this inventory.

Count me among the smoking craters of cynicism too. I cracked up when the vet was giving CPR to the giant scrotum.

I look forward to the episode
where the floppy-haired Jim analogue is forced to trim his hair in accordance with the socialist lifestyle.

And we still have Hagar, Beetle Bailey, Wizard of Id, Blondie and fucking reruns of Peanuts strips that were shitty the first time around.

As Wil Wheaton once said…
Wagon Train's a really cool show, but did you notice they never get anywhere? They just keep wagon training.

The only decent power ballad is "NFB (Dallabnikufesin)".

Oh
Is it that time of year again already?

Hell, the Japanese version could just be an hour of looped footage of Chairman Kaga biting into the bell pepper and it'd still be better than 95% of what's on TV.

The American "Iron Chef" cannot hold a candle to the Japanese original.

Well, since "The Highwayman" was a piece of shit back then, I'll bet you're right.

Jacko the Energizer guy was't Blank Reg, but he was on a series called "The Highwayman" around the same time.

This and Sledge Hammer! were my two favorite shows as well. I recently rewatched the Max Headroom pilot, and I found that it held up pretty well.

If you've ever looked through a box of old vinyl at a flea market, I can guarantee you've seen one of his records.

Live albums suck? "At Fillmore East" would like to have a word with you behind the bleachers.

Forgot an influence
A combination of Deadwood, Roots, The Outlaw Josey Wales and Petticoat Junction.

That one that starts off kinda American-rootsy, and then all the band members start playing a whole bunch of different songs all at once, and then all of a sudden it's the American-rootsy one again.

If you like "Kaleidoscope", seek out a copy of Weird Science #13, which has an adaptation of that story combined with "The Rocket Man" illustrated by the great Wally Wood. It somehow manages to be better than the original two stories.
