I've always assumed that Cars is a sequel to Maximum Overdrive.

I think I might watch more foreign movies than domestic. Part of this is due to my current obsession with kaiju, even if I'm smack in the middle of the era where kaiju turned into awful kids movies at the moment, though it's a generally consistent theme.
