Did you accidentally set it on a power save mode? There's options on the console, somewhere in the settings, to have controllers turn off after a certain amount of time. I have mine set to turn off after 10 minutes if a button isn't pressed. I'm not certain, but it could be a setting to mess with, see if it does…
