I have to say, I was actually surprised they didn't try and release a couple of chapters around the time the show returned, particularly to deal with the Jon Snow stuff.

It's essential down to the separation of 'Church and State' at Marvel. The movies do their own thing under Feige and TV/Comics/Animation do their own under Ike Perlmutter.
