"God Lives Through" has always represented to me both the pinnacle and farewell to the Golden Age of rap music.

The Low End Theory will always be the better rap album. But if we're going to discuss which album is more accessible, and will always be one of my go-to CD's for the car (as long as CD's are popular), Midnight Marauders it certainly is.
We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed is probably one of my top 10 favorite albums ever. Every time I come back to it, I'm always amazed by how damn accessible it is. It's such a rush of an album.
Correct. It's not enough, but as David Simon said: "we're gonna take it and run with it."
Treme - can't wait.
Yeah, think I lean with this opinion.
That episode was as fantastic, emotional, and devastating as television gets. I know there's still about 2 hours more left, but I feel so drained that I'm not sure if I can watch more.
See you next Sunday.
Jesus, I can't believe people are so offended by Chappelle "broad-brushing" a city. A comedian exaggerating something? What an absurd concept!
Okay, how about in all sincerity: Adventureland.
Jesus, if you're going to suggest a movie that's one year old, talk about Zero Dark Thirty or The Master. Don't waste the time to type about a movie that is A. extremely pretentious and B. a complete fabrication of what adolescence is actually like.
"I asked for ketchup! I'm eating salad!"
I guess we're in the minority. But I maintain that reiterating "please keep it", even a few times, would have felt more natural. And I believe it would have been more powerful because of the subtlety.
Maybe it's just me, but I was terribly bothered by the line "just please keep your penis", just after her wife said "please keep it." I find writing like that to be offensive and shoddy. 1. It's unnatural dialogue coming from a wife to her then-husband in that context. And 2. you'd have to be really slow to not…
Same - "Trying to be cool" is 2nd.
Nope. It was removed.
The Life and Times of Tim is my favorite animated show of all time. How on earth was it omitted from this list?
The sequence from "Step" to "Diane Young" to "Don't Lie" (favorite track) to "Hannah Hunt" to "Everlasting Arms" is about as good as 5 tracks in a row have been this year.
"Shout it Out", "Peace of Mind", and "Piano Mantra" are just fantastic tracks. Great, great album.
I'm so damn late to this party but this episode may well be the finest 30 minutes of television I have ever seen. Sounds hyperbolic, but I thought about it for hours on end before reaching that (almost) conclusion.
Thanks for proving the ridiculous point of music ratings. They're so subjective and essentially done using the baseline of whatever previous work that artist has done.
