Yeah, she turned a small bit part into something surprisingly funny. In just a few lines you really got a sense of her character, and they made her kind of weird and broken like most of the Greendale staff.

@Ellie, oh yeah, that scene in Sexy where he whispers to her has definitely stuck with me, also the title story is one I sometimes think back to often.

Just like "Rose Red" or whatever that mini-series was called, is very much like the Shining.

I definitely disagree on Lovecraft being less readable than King. Lovecraft's imagery is so intense and amazing you can't not turn a page, its not to see how the plot resolves, but in hopes of him revealing more dark wonders. I could rote dictionary of Lovecraft's creations over and over again.

His short stories really are a cut above. The novels are great, and all have some standout moments (attacking coke machines in Tommy Knockers, Collie's falling apart in Desperation, Danny inventorying where not to go in the Shining), however they are clunky in the other moments, and it always seem they make better…
