I don't think it will ever be as good as when they focus on the writer's room. However I have a feeling they think Tracy/Jenna/Kenneth story lines are a bit more instantly-relatable, so they play those more, and they also are very funny in their own right, so they just tend to win out more (almost always).

Yeah I wonder if she will be a teacher we see more of. I have a feeling her appearance was a one-off, but I think she seemed like an interesting character. Also, I must say she did slightly remind me of some professors I've had in the past.

We can hope, it will be for nothing.

I saw the prior weeks episode
and was quite entertained. However, let's be frank, the "shut-the-fuck-up" scene in Curb was better and more rewarding to watch than the whole episode of this show.

@Stacy, I could not make hide nor hair of your comment! But I was hooked from the beginning, though everything this guy says in the write-up tonight is spot on. It was definitely a better show during season 2-3 (never saw season 1). They always end up killing the more interesting people. Watch as I assume Lundy will

That was a pretty weird cartoon. But whatever, if it lets Jack McBrayer get a house in Hollywood, more power to ya.

Hopefully
They ditch this pairing up of characters for a story, three or more people can have a plot line together.

WHEN?
When was it decided that Brooklyn, Manhattan and Los Angeles are the only places you can live in this country?

I just wanna say Rubber Gloves is a cool place to see a show.

Yeah MBS, I agree, Sunday night with Seth McFarlane is like a giant moral vacuum that's self-righteous too.

A interesting take on the African American Experience
I think I might actually see this. Had you asked me a week ago, will you see a doc on how black women do their hair, emphatic no. What sparks my interest is the costs involved. There is looks stuff about me I'm insecure about, but nothing I think I could ever spend

BRING BACK ROY!

@Beast Rabin, I don't think its possible to have that much recall bias, your head would explode.

Sorry Tristiac, I think you're alone on that sentiment!

Jesus Christ
Their two albums, Midnight Organ Fight and Live! Lung! Fr! are the best things released ever, in music's totatlity. Mozart called me up concerning them, he said his first words on the hearing them were "Awwwwww damn" That's serious props. They're re-releasing all the Spiderman movies, and having

@Average America, seeing as its a show about a serial killer cop, I think we can reasonably expect them to sacrifice verisimilitude on how mothers with children act in order to make her character more bearable.

I don't think they should resort to staid routines and stereotypes, but, as they are highly paid writers, I think they should possess some foresight into what current events make for a somewhat timeless satire, as opposed to some jokes that are TOTALLY in the moment. You can riff on current events in a way that is

I like "The Story of Yo La Tango" but I can't remember if its 10+ minutes… either way great long song.

Nah Elitist, its not that we're spoiled, but that they should know better than to make fun of stuff they know will be outdated by air time.

I think you're right about the trend, but I think its reasons are a bit benign. Almost anyone that just interrupts the hero (or anti-hero, or whoever a show is about) will be viewed negatively. The only way they're not is if they're actually an antagonist. Rita (and Betty) are not full blown antagonists, so we instead
