DP7 was the only New Universe title worth reading, but I think I bought just about everything they had—from Starbrand, to Spitfire & The Trouble Shooters, to Kickers Inc.

I wish that Mike Patton would do a pop or R&B covers album. The Mr. Bungle cover of "Tower of Strength" sounds great live, and I'd love to have a studio recorded version.

Thanks for the link! I wonder when the series was shot, because all of the characters looked like they were believably still in grade school. No earlier than 2010 though, with the not-so-subtle plot references to the BP oil spill.

Finished watching the whole series. Satisfying and The Wire comparison definitely works with the last few episodes. All in all, I'll be mildly bummed if there isn't a second season.

I'm really surprised that The Abyss wasn't included on this list.

It's a totally new group of kids. I'm in my 30s, and my love for the original is why I started watching the current series. That being said, the show has really benefited from no longer focusing on Degrassi alumni (from the new series or the original 80s version).

I hated the band gimmick at first, but they really grew on me. Per my other comment below, I'd be really interested to see you do a check-in with Degrassi when its 12th season premieres in July.

Any chance we'll get some Degrassi coverage this summer? It's going into its 12th season, and I'd be interested to hear your take on the series.

Glad to have Workaholics back. The humor is a little more "Adult Swim" than Always Sunny. Weekly coverage would be great.
