It was interesting. Even the way she was talking to him, keeping him calm and logical while trying to get information was a lot nicer and more forthcoming than SHIELD has ever been.

I actually think Almost Human is an overall worse show than SHIELD, but there's something kind of plucky about it. It also has better banter (though we're really just talking about Kennex/Dorian v. Fitz/Simmons).

I can "accept" Victoria Hand requiring Skye to turn in her gun (and badge) when she's booted off the plane, but this has been a problem throughout the series.

I wanted to know why he was revived, if only to cut the Fury/Coulson slashfics off at the pass.

To be fair, half the team are Tech Guys. (Literally, 3/6 of the team's main qualification is that they're good at science.)

For the first half, I thought it was probably SHIELD's best episode. Exciting, fast paced, humorous. And then it became SKYE IS THE BESTEST EVER!!! and I lost interest.Of course, I might have been biased because I said "is that a rumba?" milliseconds before it was said on screen.

2016: Vote Q

They remained at home for Olympus House Has Fallen Down

Are you talking about Jay Pharoah? Because he's entertaining. But the actual guy? Well, to each their own.

Leslie Knope seems to inspire people. I mean, we know how that turns out (barring any unforeseen circumstances) and I don't know where or if City Council Person ranks on the list of politicians, but she's something.

Well it's 35 or so years in the future so it might have vintage value. Like the resurgence of "jive turkey" from a couple years back.

For all the problems with Fringe's final season, it succeeded to some extent because of the characters and wanting to spend time with the characters. With Almost Human, I like the actors, but I can't exactly say I like the characters.

Remember, this is the future. When you're the head of an underfunded* police force in a city overrun by gangs and thugs and when fellow high ranking police officers are in charge of life-ruining, cop-killing drug rings, all that matters is that a guy thinks you're cute.

One thing I find striking about the show is how nice the future looks. Most scenes are in the brightest day. There doesn't seem to be much pollution. Streets look clean. People seem pleasant and not afraid. Karl Urban's apartment is fantastic.

At this point, I give an additional half grade to an episode that doesn't start with yet another interminably long couch sequence. Not that they are bad, but lately it seems they're putting more effort into the couch gags while the episodes themselves seem to be getting shorter.

I definitely thought it was an improvement from the last new episode. Several weeks later, and I'm still bugged by Marge announcing the house's mystery door. I can accept it as an inside joke (brought up on commentary) or something for attentive fans, but once you shine a light on it, it a) takes away the "inside

YOLO worked for me primarily because of the "go wherever your heart takes you" ending. In recent seasons, Homer is almost always a better character when there's some heart to him and his buffoonery has more to do with childlike enthusiasm than pure stupidity and ignorance.

I am going to throw out some love for Eagleheart, home of the world's first genetically engineered prog rock supergroup.

I finally caught up on Eagleheart since Adult Swim marathoned the series in preparation for the new season. The station devolving into Cronenbergian goodness from a couple of weeks ago gave me one of the biggest laughs of the past TV season.

But what are her chances at the Video Games Awards?
