I'm pretty sure the reason for most of the blatant cuts was to illustrate the fact that the crimes were happening in both universes. Also because the action was happening in both universes. Last episode the action was most just happening Over There.

"…like all the boys, Toph is literally their favorite character. It’s crazy."
We seriously better find out what happened to Zuko's mom. Because I will be pissed if they keep hanging that over our heads.
It looks more like him in his early 20s, possibly late teens.
"Procop didn’t comment on rumors that Pitt forged the ring in the fires of Hell after retrieving the necessary gold from the lair of Cthulhu, a journey that lasted more than two years and cost the lives of 12 brave souls who accompanied Pitt on his quest."
"In preparation for the job, THR notes that Spears is “undergoing extensive media training,” which we can only surmise means they are coaching Spears on how to couch her cutting observations"
"…though you don’t generally build big metal statues of people who are alive"
"Kurt’s glee over seeing Cooper was a fun little moment and well-played by Chris Colfer."
I'm not sure if I just missed this or if it was never explained but….
I kind of like that since Lincoln couldn't make it with our Olivia he decided to run away to a whole other universe and try things with THEIR Olivia. I mean, where else but Fringe can you re-invent yourself by skipping off to another universe? Some people just move to another town or switch departments. But on Fringe…
Yeah I have thought of that, that while physical aggression is generally the norm among criminals there is some sort of line the people in this prison wont cross. Such as rape. If that were the case, it's safe to say that despite being an evil empire the Fire Nation is way more progressive when it comes to gender…
I think one thing that really weirded me out about the Boiling Rock was how the prison was co-ed. That's one of the most obvious moments that this is a kid's show because it sort of goes into how prisoners could be harrassed by their wardens but doesn't mention at all how men and women shouldn't EVER be asked to share…
And then murder them.
Yeah no kidding. I'm pretty sure the late King Robert had super sperm. I bet he's got bastards in all the 7 kingdoms.
Freddy Rumsen, I'm not sure if it's established yet that the other Broyles is a shapeshifter. he's definitely working for David Robert Jones but like the other Nina, he might be under some sort of duress. Maybe he is the real Broyles but Jones is threatening him. There was just something off about the way he looked…
I second that.
I like both of them but I think it's the way Fauxlivia carries herself. She's meant to be looser, less serious, more open. Plus she smiles more which I think people find more attractive since it's more approachable.
I like the part at the end where Broyles said Fringe division just isn't the same without an Olivia Dunham around. He meant it to be complimentary I'm sure, but at this point I'm beginning to suspect there might be a clause in the FBI handbook somewhere requiring that at least one Olivia Dunham be on staff in any…
I'm totally down with the return of Olympic sharpshooter Fauxlivia.
Yeah I remembered the monsters being in other episodes and what those episodes were about but I had to look up when they actually occurred. At least to make sure I hadn't just imagined it.
