I'd love to see a movie about That T'Wirp.
TFA had some of the best trailers in recent memory, and this trailer actually looks slightly worse than "just any trailer". There seems to be no humor, sense of adventure, or a character or visual that really draws you in.
Cave? Ooooh, sign me up for Wind River!
Whoda thunk that Hale from Sons of Anarchy would become the hottest new writer of prestige crime dramas? I've seen Sicario three times already and it keeps getting better each time. Will definitely give this one a look.
Well, it's slightly controversial, but certainly not inexplicable.
That doesn't answer the question. Do you also think everyone should keep their mouth shut about the fact that there is no link between vaccines and autism?
How is it inexplicable if you spend the rest of the article explaining it?

Oooh, a very good description. I suppose I'm also a "philosophical" optimist, in that when pondering about how things are going to turn out at work, in my life, or with civilization in general, I almost always expect a positive outcome. That doesn't change the fact that the first thing that comes to mind when…
From what I can gather, there seems to be no actual typos in that text, as there would if it was written quickly, during an emotional outburst. It looks like that's just how Yo-Landi chooses to write at all times. Which is much, much worse than just being illiterate.
Yes, but it was mentioned in the article. I had nothing to say about any of the other movies since I haven't seen any of them (maybe Silent Trigger a long time ago), and since I had to leave a comment, it was either professing my love for The Shadow or making a bad joke about whatever The Revenge I: A Visit From Fate…
I will stop considering it a guilty pleasure now that I've learned there are actually other people who like it!
Great stuff, never heard of most of these before.
Didn't Dan Brown make that word up?
I know the Gone in 60 Seconds remake was another example of the cliche (and the first time I noticed it as such), but I don't remember it as being that excessive.
That's exactly what I meant, thanks. But you did also miss Green Zone by some five years.
I think it's actually officially a flop now? I know the international roll-out has been slow, but I doubt there are any markets that can save it now. All of my favorite movies of the summer have been financial disappointments: Nice Guys, Green Zone (although that one didn't have have much of a budget, either) and now…
Now that I've actually seen this, I have to say Mike takes a very unusual approach here. He refuses to view the film on its own terms (as an investigative documentary) and instead seems to be looking for things that appeal to him from a film-geek perspective. This is most evident in him praising what was the film's…
