Especially after all these years helping Herc look for Fuzzy Dunlap.

exactly, my first words at seeing the church were "who on earth goes there?"

My biggest takeaway is she has been miserable with Bill for years, but loves the heck out of the kids (doesn't even say "goodbye" to Bill). She knows she needs his income to have the life and is beyond tolerant, going so far as to admit she knows he's having an affair, because now she's finally starting to get what

I feel like there has to be a reel of Schmidt running up to Jess and ad-libbing various excuse lines - I very much want to watch it.

"That girl said she was 16 but I swear to God I could tell she was 22" -

I really should have listed the songs I don't really like on the album rather than the ones I do.

Yes it is.

Ryan Adams live, circa Rock N Roll/Love Is Hell, is still one of my all time favorite live shows. Saw him at 9:30 club and he played great, but was a trainwreck. He played "Wish You Were Here" then followed it by playing it again - only realizing halfway through that he'd just played it and sorta laughed it off.

A lot of people bailed on Rock N Roll which I think is mostly a fantastic album (Wish You Were Here, Anybody Wanna Take Me Home?, Burning Photographs, Girls, So Alive, This is It…) and Love Is Hell was pretty much universally panned when it came out. I dunno, I'm just a fan of his stuff so I've liked everything he's

Some albums feel more forgetable than others (uh, Cardinology?) but he's an artist I can just put the catalog on shuffle and if not everything blows me away there's nothing I hate. I like/love the vast majority of his music.

You should check out 1984 - it's his new 12 minute long, 10 song 45". It's very much an homage to Husker Du, and it's on spotify too.

There are two entries in spotify - Ryan Adams and then Ryan Adams and the Cardinals. Jacksonville is under the later along with Cold Roses and a couple others.

AV Club has given Ryan Adams the same grade as Maroon 5 - I don't care if this was the worst thing he's ever done (which it isn't) that should not stand. Ryan Adams at his worst still is still better than Maroon 5 at their best.

Truth. I loved this as a kid, but tried to watch it with the wife recently and couldn't make it through part 1.

I am very much looking forward to reading these recaps and discussions - I really enjoyed this show.

+1

I watched the whole show a second time and personally enjoyed a lot of season 1, found seasons two and 3 to be more tedious, and felt the show really got fun when they started jumping around in time. I think most people would call me an idiot for it though.

"Hate Bands" indeed - not sure if Sublime would be my #1 but it would be damn close. This was a great one because damn they have a lot of shit music.

New Boss - Broke (6 episodes)

Was waiting for someone to say this song - definitely my favorite song of the year so far.
