One of the earliest comics I followed regularly was "The New Mutants."  I often wished I had a nickel for every time Sam Guthrie thought, or said, "Good thing ah'm invulnerable while ah'm blastin'".

Ahem.  It wasn't the Power Cosmic, it was the Unipower.  *adjusts glasses*

Was it "Spider Man/Human Torch" that had an issue that ended with Spider-Man, in his Spider-Buggy, doing doughnuts on the *side* of the Daily Bugle building (thanks to an antigravity device) as J. Jonah Jameson sputtered in rage?  That's one of my all-time favorite Spidey moments.

It's like, how much more of a hack could Reiner be?  And the answer is none.  None more hack.

It's there.  I recently winced my way through the whole thing, solely because I had understood that the Cat was played by Terry Farrell.  But when the Cat shows up two minutes from the end, he's played by some other actor!  I was incensed.

That's reassuring.  I was worried I might have to relinquish my nerd credentials after watching the first season and thinking "Nah, that's about enough of that."  It's not that it's bad, but in a world with more good media available than it's possible to consume, one has to prioritize.

One of my favorite Finn lines is "What's it goin'?" from "Donny" (upon being greeted by an uncharacteristically polite ogre).  Combined with Finn's screwed-up face showing utter bewilderment, it cracks me up every time.

There's a rare variety of dread I experience when a doppelganger of a beloved person/object is killed/destroyed.  I definitely felt it when I first saw this episode of DS9.  I felt it again during a 1st- or 2nd-season episode of "Clone Wars" in which an R2 droid, identical in appearance to R2-D2 except for the color

She IS Fiona Apple, therefore I DO give a rat's ass.

Really?  The candy I associate most with MST3K is Mentos (the Freshmaker).

"Let's Have A Patrick Swayze Christmas."  Although it's bittersweet, now.
