"Let's Have A Patrick Swayze Christmas."  Although it's bittersweet, now.

I have a few boxes of aging VHS tapes full of MST3K episodes in my garage.  I can't decide if I should take the trouble to transfer them to a more durable/convenient medium, or just fork over for the official DVDs.

A couple of months ago I read Iain Banks's "Transition." One of its chapters was set in Pripyat, which I previously hadn't heard of.  Coincidentally, I now keep seeing the name popping up—here, and last month in reviews of the film "Chernobyl Diaries."  It feels a little spooky.
