"Demon dogs!"

If I gave you some money from my wallet, would that ease the pain?

The testing process…
Come on, everybody knows this.

Call Greg Proops
David Byrne and Fatboy Slim doing a disco musical about Imelda Marcos sounds like a bad "Whose Line is it Anyway" suggestion.

Shhh…you smell that? I smell crickets!

GOOD GOD.
Whitman is a dead ringer for Roxy. That's amazing.

See, Lily looked ever-so-slightly preggers to me in the flash-forward.

It does. But it rocks out at the expense of the central joke. There's no way the band on that album would get the hilariously tepid response that the D gets on open mic night.

Issue #1…
Going full electric on their album ultimately killed the D and proved they didn't really understand what made the HBO shorts funny in the first place. DISCUSS.

I hope the British pilot/TV movie is included with the set.

"Relatively Inexpensive…"
Really? $49.95 for six issues worth of material? I'm sure there are worse deals in reprint comics than this, but I can't really think of one right now.

Waitaminute
"…it's impossible to buy Baldwin as an amiable dope. "

Plausibility
Does the movie make any attempt to explain how every copy of the most common book on the planet managed to disappear? Was this a book-targeted apocalypse? Did the bombs only affect onion skin paper?

What the fuck is this?
I told Bob to *thoroughly* clean the pool.

Just because it's a front…
…doesn't mean somebody doesn't have to do the actual landscaping.

My favorite R Kelly lyrical tic…
…is his repeated misuse of the phrase "as if." As in "Ignition (Remix)":

I highly recommend watching the R. Kelly commentary on the complete TITC DVD. He actually takes the time to explain what is happening onscreen. You know, in case you didn't get it from the video. Or the lyrics, which also explain what you're seeing.

Spatula!
Seriously, when are we getting some more Trapped in the Closet? I need to know about the p-p-p-package!

See! Now!
Our sentence is UP.

Egomania
Issue 2 has one of the finest Alan Moore interviews ever published. Highly recommended for fans.
