Is this an actual series order?
Or just a pilot? The HR article isn't clear, though it seems to lean towards the former.
Based purely on the poster/DVD cover…
…I've always assumed this was a semi-highbrow take on Howie Mandel's "Walk Like a Man," an HBO afternoon staple from my youth. Looks like I wasn't too far off.
Those Movieline "unproduced screenplay" lists…
…Didn't the script for "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" top that list at one point?
And how do you explain away the magnificence of "Days of Thunder"? Huh, smart guy?
Say what you will…

"Chicks can't hold they smoke."
Riesgraf's 'Parker'…
…makes much more sense as a character when you realize that she's mildly autistic. Which the show is (perhaps understandably, since it's played for comedy) reluctant to explicitly state to the viewer.
DVD
The series is currently scheduled for a 9/29 DVD release. No word on Blu, but I'd say it's unlikely.
What, none of you have read Fray?
