Actually, you're wrong about all of these. Weird.

Yeah I dislike him too. I thought he was OK here; he proved he can deliver a joke and I'm sure he'll be better on the show.

I realized in the middle of the grass short that they're the equivalent of low-rent listicles. 20 CRAFTS YOU CAN MAKE WITH GRASS!

One thing that really stuck out to me was just how great Mary Jo Phel's riffs were. She should have been a regular riffer on the show somehow. "IS THIS A KITCHEN?" and "I thought we sprayed for trumpets" riffs just killed me.

Interesting, I did not know that.

This is just an ugly situation all around.

Yes, you weird pervert

Great for concerts. Bad for civic liberties. Some Sophie's Choice shit!

…it kinda was, though? I don't remember the passage super well, but there was nothing sexual about it.

Deerhoof is probably the most divisive band among my friends. Drummers love them, though.

More like every other year. This is their fourth record since Offend Maggie.

"God bless Deerhoof for never growing tired of being Deerhoof. In the time it takes most two-decade-old bands to make a record, Deerhoof makes three. Shattered kick drums litter the San Francisco band’s trajectory. Deerhoof makes music recklessly and wildly, but with great skill and a premium on sweetness."

sounds like my rock bottom!

I think I drank two of those once. I don't really remember.

I've heard of that too. Something about "puppy play" and Dan interviewing a "puppy play" "expert" just takes it over the top.

I'll never understand how one can participate in "puppy play" and not fucking burst out laughing. To each their own, but that is such a ridiculous fucking kink and serious discussion about it is hilarious to me.

In all honesty, Dave Matthews Band puts on a performance that is not altogether unpleasant. I went through a phase back in high school that I'm way over and saw them a couple times. Crowd was super shitty back then but maybe it's older and mellower now?

When this was announced I went back and read a bunch of Popless installments and man, the voice here is so different now. I don't want to say the quality of the writing has gone down hill, but … the quality of the writing has certainly changed. This is a great feature, though.

Oh my god, Jonah talking about "shitting clits" and then the zoom out to the kindergarten classroom. Biggest laugh I've ever had with this show.
