I was 10 in 1997 and I remember making the decision to start listening to "real" music, which in my mind was top 40 radio. I remember so many of songs referenced in this article. Some of them I loved at the time - Walkin' On the Sun was one of my early favorites - but many of them I remember just kind of suffering

Giant Douche/Turd Sandwich was a reflection of the attitude at that time. Every election I've witnessed has had a contingent of people who feel that way about the final two candidates. South Park just came up with a funny way to present it.

My opinion is that South Park is (usually, to varying degrees) funny.

I know we're past the books at this point, but I'm wondering if anyone here can help me out.

this is SO important

So … what was up with no one giving a shit about the guy being thrown overboard? The partiers not really buying it I understood, but the ship's captain and Matt's posse just being blase about it I really didn't understand.

Chuck fully intended for Ernesto to hear the tape, no?

So sick of this guy. Trump, too.

I'll go to the movies by myself once in a while it's kind of nice. Try it! If you go to a matinee or you see a movie towards the end of its run, you'll see a few other people by themselves too.

that poor B3 needs to be rescued from Sturgill Simpson's keyboard player. Climbing all over it and even knocking it over. Disgusting.

Yeah, this election broke his brain. See also: Michael Ian Black

He's in the super pro Hillary neo liberal camp which is very tiring, especially post-election.

It's just silly. Sometimes that's enough.

I'm convinced he was hammered. Dude could barely read the cue cards.

Jesus, how awful was Jimmy Fallon in that Update sketch? Did he forget how to read 4 or 5 times? Was he drunk or something?

"The Scooby-Doo sketch was brilliant in an absurdist Monty Python way."

This happened to me 5 years or so ago. Turns out he's just fucking funny. He may not have a ton of range as an impressionist or whatever, but he can deliver a joke like nobody's business. His timing is just fucking perfect, all the time. Probably comes from being a sketch comic since he was 13 or whatever.

ya know, now that you say it, I can't imagine a room full of comedy writers didn't come up with that. Maybe they were overthinking it.

Am I the only one who was thinking of Michael O'Brein and Cecily Strong during the first sketch?

"Che’s n-bomb is one thing, but the “Hunch Bunch” sketch features both a coming/cumming joke and the phrase “pussy-ass bitch.” It’ll be interesting to see what outcry, if any, there is to what seems like boundary-testing by SNL."
