Actually the film is retitled "The return of the first Avenger" in Germany and (I'm pretty sure about that) also other countries.

It is very loosely based on the amazingly good 2004/2005 "Captain America" issues written by Ed Brubaker. I was really hoping for more of that storyline to be used in the film, as I loved the whole Winter Soldier concept and thought it was more of a B-plot in the film. Surprising since he is right there in the title.
