Great album
Can t say I agree about anything being said in this review. Upon first listening to this album I thought that it would need a couple of plays for the songs to really stick and that turned out to be true. But after listening to it for a while now I really enjoy it. Catchy in a non-annoying way. And totally

@mental - like I said I didn t really have a problem with this review in question and rather used it as a starting point to ask the question. I am sure there where lots of gay boys out there who related to that character too and would have liked to share a first kiss with him. Yet you don t read that unless you read a

I would be honestly interested in answers to my question.
"I imagine there was a contingent of female Boy Meets World viewers who hoped to share their first kiss with a nice, average boy like Cory. "

"I'm hoping she'll maybe become girl Kurt, and start monopolizing the other half of the show that's not already being taken up by him."

My so-called life
"My so-called life" - for me - is one of the few shows that will probably stay with me for the rest of my life. Like your favorite songs. Sure, the Halloween episode really sucked and I could have done without the angel thing on christmas, but except for that it was so, so good.
And then it was

Everybody should watch "true blood" I think as it is dumb fun most of the time. If you can get over the dumb part…
That said, I have a friend who says he can't stand either Toni Collette or Edie Falco and it just blows my mind. He's not a dumb guy, has a really decent taste in movies and such and yet he "can't stand"

I am in a pretty good mood today so I don't want to change that by reading too many comments about the "gay panic" "humor" and instead just want to say thank you to Nathan Rabin for being one of the few critics who even mentions this in their reviews.
That said, few things are as annoying as clueless straight people

Bear
"All that matters is that (Ronnie's) there and people can look at him, like he's a bear in the zoo."

@Puzz: well yeah, I can understand that growing up in a certain area gives you certain pronounciations and wordings, but being gay doesn't mean you magically have something in common with all other gay guys (besides liking dick I guess). So the old and tired idea that being "catty" has to be a part of you because you

Ok, I have never talked to gay folks who behaved like that, alone or in crowds, but I'm gonna try and change that as soon as possible.

Gay stereotypes
Is it only me who gets more and more annoyed that all gay characters this show includes are the kind who wouldn't need to have a coming-out? I always hear this show getting praise for being so inclusive, but in "modern family" world gay is obviously means flamboyant.

Oscar, are you secretly Jane Lynch? Because she said the same thing about why she thinks not more actors have come out yet. Sad.

I ve actually once met someone who liked the later books in the series much better than the earlier ones. Granted, he also had a really small and thin dick AND was really bad in bed, but I am not sure that is necessarily true for anyone who feels that way.

I learned a lesson from "Enter the void": always do a little research about a film you are going to watch. As soon as the film started I thought "This is not by the same asshole that did 'Irreversible', is it? Please?"
Oh 'Irreversible' - you are not homophobic, you are ART. Kinda like what Leni Riefenstahl did. Still

I was saw The Offspring at a festival, around the time they had that disturbing single "why don't you get a job?" and the singer was really really bad at his job. I hold no grudge against the band but to me they always belonged in the "dumb rock" category (which can be a very fun and entertaining category) and they

@SouthOfHeaven
Actually I have a racist relative, not my uncle though, and I never "smiled and took it" when he started spewing his nonsense. He never let me "shoot his gun" as you put it, but I doubt that would have made a difference.

"There just aren't enough of them to appeal to make money to make the marketing effort worth it."

@ElDan
That is actually a good question you are asking. That there are still people bigoted enough to use the word "f@ggot" and make the conscious decision to put it into their music or movies (hello "hangover") feels like an insult that is directed straight at me. Even though it isn't. Also I just don't like assholes.

I do think Gaga both has the right intentions and is also using them as a marketing tool. Nothing wrong with that. If being pro-gay is a marketing gimmik that is working I take that as progress.
What I don't get is how she keeps proclaiming to make one "gay anthem" after another. "Alejandro" was - according to her - a

I am anything but in favor of censorship. But when I read, like I just did now, that "Dr Dre" has yet again included homophobic slurs in another song of his it makes me wonder why this is still happening nowadays. And being released as a single. And being tolerated. Accepted?
