The remake of Fright Night's  pretty good, yeah.  Much better than I expected from the trailer (and years of awful movies of the same type).

Was that Godzilla book actually good?  I read the previous one by Eric Powell and it was awful - just a bunch of Lady Gaga and Jersey Shore jokes, weirdly.

I too buy almost solely on the basis of writers.  Art figures in somewhat, but usually only if it's so bad I can't bear to read it, like Humberto Ramos' eye-bleedingly horrible Spider-Man.
