I don't understand your point.  I'm not even a fan of these guys, and I don't give a shit about bluegrass, but I live in Asheville and they were working musicians in the area for about a decade.  They still sound pretty much exactly the same as they did, and while it certainly is hokey, there's nothing disingenuous or

Journey into Mystery, starring Kid Loki.  It's great - maybe the best marvel book at the moment.

I see that a lot regarding Jason Aaron.  I guess it's just a matter of taste.  I like just about everything he's done at Marvel with the exception of that underwhelming Hulk book.

Yeah, I can't argue with that, but several writers who produced the some of the best DC books before the relaunch are now putting out boring, undistinguished stuff either because 1) they're being edited into oblivion or 2) they're phoning it in.  I'm specifically thinking of Tony Bedard and Gail Simone - I loved

Yeah but I don't think they'd ever let it get as far out as Prophet or Glory, for example. As much fun and energy as Aaron and Hickman put into their books, it's all still pretty grounded in basic superhero style that can be wedged properly into the mandatory crossover crap or easily reverted back to status quo if

"The main lesson that Marvel and DC can take away from the success of Prophet is
that the best way to revitalize a property is by finding people who
create good comics and allowing them to do whatever the hell they want

Smart enough not to listen to this garbage, presumably.

I wish I could say the same.

Bruce was like three, and probably not as boob-obsessed as you seem to be.  You didn't actually read this, I gather.

Don't read that Skrull crap!  In fact, don't read any Bendis books in the main Marvel Universe.  If you're looking to start reading Thunderbolts, Jeff Parker's been writing since #138, which is as good of a jumping-on point as any.  If you're looking for an intro into modern Marvel in general, try Ed Burbaker's
