The first time i saw her was in Capricorn One.  My DVD had somehow started itself 2/3rds of the way through the movie, right on the scene where she bails Elliott Gould out of jail.  There's a little exposition-recap dialogue, some flirting, and off to the rest of the plot, and i thought "holy crap this is an awesome

Jack Reacher had a nice sense of humor..  I think they'll maintain that tone.

check out Way of the Gun.  It's not *that* visually inventive (though, McQuarrie loves a sniper-scope POV), but it's got some interesting stuff in it.  Jack Reacher saw some of that tempered by Cruise's need to make 4-quadrant entertainment

Patton Oswalt or STFU

There is also an awesome car chase, a great "Raising Arizona" style fight scene, and Robert Duvall doing Robert Duvall things.  It's fantastic; just calibrate your expetations to "The Best NCIS episode ever" and not "Ghost Protocol"

hey, c'mon: Jack Reacher (title aside) was a perfectly fine little movie.  Was it a "Christmas Release Megablockbuster"?  No.  It was NCIS: The Film.  But if you're ok with $50M Hal Ketchum pictures with awesome car chases and weird villians (with a Robert Duvall cherry on top), it's RIGHT up your alley.

i think you meant "PTSD"

i'm worried: is NBC just doing this because (1) they know it will generate buzz/good vibes for Season 5, and (2) to distract Harmon from his two new shows (particularly the one on Fox, which, according to him, is the ambitious "Community"-esque one)?

i started wearing them because i have 14 4E wide feet, and for the longest time, NB was the only major mfg making wide shoes.  Nike, Saucony, Reebok were all D-width, at the most.  So, yeah, the line about "They're the only shoes that fit your fat feet" is pretty true

what was teh song they were humming?  And was this a reference to the first-season Friends episode when they hum the theme to The Odd Couple?   Or was it a Muppet Show reference of some sort?

the Wipes slogans that Chang was spouting were pretty good, too

has anyone noticed that Paul F Tompkins is doing 20-minute interviews on this "Man Made/Bacardi" youtube series?  He's quite good at it, and can do the sketch/improv stuff, as Best Week Ever (and Mr Show, etc) has shown us.

And Grizzly Man (and other doc's).  Also: Memento, with all the tattoos.

Payback is literally a bitch!

i thought for sure he was either (1) a gay British novelty act, or (2) the lead singer of The Scissor Sisters going solo.  Though, i think i might love the big dude singing the hook.  Can i get the clip of "He a cold assss honky…" for a ringtone?

Yep!  That movie secretly rules.  It's all from Ezekiel and other old prophets (world ending in fire, wheels within wheels, etc).  Also: there's some great Cage overacting, screaming instructions at people, phones, etc.

Howzabout Gloria Estefan and Bo Bice?  Jerry Rice?  Heidi Fleiss?
