I liked Severance, but there was one scene late-in where they find a certain weapon (and use it in  a silly way) that seemed to totally kill the mood. What had been a nifty little nasty thriller suddenly went total slapstick - and then it was back to the grind.

I liked the first 2/3 a great deal, then it seemed like it needed to be less weird and have a plot of some kind and it got dull.

I would. I mean, it's not much fun, but when you really are out of conversation, at least someone would probably pay attention if you brought it up (well, the first few times anyway).

This is gonna wind up a PG-13, forgettable thing like the latest Total Recall, where the best reviews are like "Not as bad as you would have suspected", right?

Yeah, his byline alone puts this in my "actually drag my sorry ass into a theater for once" queue.

So… my hope that this would actually have a consistent, coherent premise where the underlying will constructively constrain the plot instead of being whatever magic effect is useful this week seem to be shot to hell. Like the classic "how can the transporter be a magic box this week?" crap we all knew and loved from

I should've read the review first… "Constantine Alexander"? Holy shit. I mean.. holy shit. Someone needs an award. An award and a kick in the nuts.

Sweet! I love shows with MEANINGFUL NAMES! Her name is Devlin and she… made a deal with the devil! It's just so poetic or profound and I dunno… something. It's like Frank Black being a dark, brooding hero, or, say, Bigtits McPlotdevice being…

Does iTunes really pay the artist 70 cents? Considering Apple's cut, the label's cut, the songwriter's cut (for those that don't write their own), 70 cents out of 99 seems awfully high.

Per next time's episode… "Cartoons have writers?" What surprise me (though it shouldn't've) was  that the reason for these wasn't the animation time, but the writing time. I somehow assumed that for funny people, the jokes just spewed out until you were empty, at which point you went back to school and got a real job.
