Uh, yes….?

The first Orange is the New Black trailer was also awful. Basically, Netflix seems to really suck at trailers.
Honestly I think Rubio is the only Republican that has a prayer in the general election so I'm almost rooting for Trump/Cruz since he is really not *that* much more sane than either of them, but is much better at pretending he's sane.
I kind of like that about it though. There's a bit of a darkness to the show that's been sorely missing from network sitcoms lately, and it fits with the show's setting. These are pretty broken people and the show doesn't hide that.
I think it could've been with time. Much like Happy Endings, it had to shake off a pretty unlikable premise and was already doing it pretty fast.
I would say Happy Endings is up there with classic Simpsons and 30 Rock in terms of an insane joke-per-minute ratio. I can't think of any shows that cram in as many jokes per episode as those three. That's a pretty lofty group to hang out with.
I think the show has gotten a lot better at the emotional beats lately. They've always done them but they used to feel kinda hollow, but lately they've been a lot better. Maybe it's just because we've spent so much time with these characters by this point.
I don't know if it'd be a bigger hit but I think a streaming service definitely would've picked it up after ABC canned it. It got cancelled right before the era where streaming saved everything.
What was annoying though was how they kept trying new, much shittier versions of Happy Endings/Bitch 23 after they cancelled them. If they realized that these types of shows don't fit with their line-up, fine, but don't cancel them and then throw copycat shit like Super Fun Night or Mixology there afterwards. That's…
If they had kept it behind Modern Family for just one more season, it probably would've built enough of an audience to survive somewhere else, and even if it hadn't they would've kept it around an extra year for syndication. Or, if they hadn't threw it onto Fridays at the end of its run I really think another network…
A large portion of the cast are UCB vets who knew each other before the show so it makes sense. They even did live shows at UCB LA a few times when the show was running.
New Girl is a pretty good show that sometimes feels like Happy Endings at its best (though not as manic). Don't blame it for ABC's incompetence.
They've been getting work, though. Eliza Coupe is popping up on seemingly every show these days, Casey Wilson was in fucking Gone Girl!, Pally went to Mindy for a while and Wayans went to New Girl and has been doing some movies. Only Elisha Cuthbert seems like she hasn't been doing much (other than that awful NBC…
I binged through the first season and a half extremely fast and have to slow down because I DONT WANT IT TO END AGAIN :(
Honestly I really do think it's possible that Sanders would still beat Trump, but I still doubt he'll get the nomination. I really wish the Democrats didn't put all of their eggs in the Hillary basket but whatever.
They're both pretty bad but Trump is somehow scarier to me, I guess because a lot of people seem to really follow him whereas no one seems to give too much of a shit about Cruz? Even his friends hate him!
I mean it'd be nice to complete my collection but I'm definitely not paying $50 for a season I can get on the internet for free.
I was also affected by #Snowmageddon2016 so I binged a few sitcoms on streaming, like Happy Endings, Community Season 4 (yikes!), all of Superstore for some reason (pretty good!) and a bunch of 30 Rock.
I think Nightly Show has been able to form its own identity and voice, since its its own thing and not tied to a past project. There is definitely a vibe of trying very hard to emulate the old Daily Show with Noah.
Yeah it seems ridiculous to expect the show to be at the levels Jon Stewart settled into already. He *just* took over. It sucks that his transitional year is also an election year, but it's not really his fault.
