This is definitely a solid point but I would argue all of S3 has this problem, not just Vampire Mythology. I can accept that this episode is one of the worst offenders, though.

Remember when New Girl was the next great comedy and everyone wouldn't shut up about it and now no one even acknowledges its existence?
Now I get to watch Season 4 for the first time since it originally aired. This should be fun!
I rewatched Community Season 3 this week for the first time in a long time. Some thoughts!
I really liked this one! Maybe it's just because I've been binge-watching Happy Endings on Hulu but I really dug the low-stakes but high-joke-rate vibe. If that's what later-seasons New Girl wants to be, I don't mind it.
I really think if Happy Endings' cancellation had come even just a year later, it would've been picked up by a streaming service. It was just unfortunate that it happened right before the giant streaming boom. (It was cancelled the same month Arrested Development S4 premiered on Netflix.)
Okay whatever can we just talk about how beautiful it is that Hulu has brought Happy Endings back into our lives? Pretty much all I've done today is marathon Happy Endings.
New Girl's ratings have been declining rapidly for the past few years and they fell to cancel-worthy territory last year, but FOX collapsing as a network allowed it to squeak by. So there's definitely a real chance the show will be cancelled this year, but FOX is still in pretty bad shape so I would be kind of…
Um apparently Happy Endings is now on Hulu?! When did this happen? Let's hope a bunch of people watch it and it gets a revived fourth season, except actually good.
American Dad is really an outlier in the MacFarlene empire. Its humor is much better constructed and more Adult Swim-esque than his usual typical smarmy frat-bro brand of comedy. Considering everything else with his name on it is terrible I'm willing to say it's an aberration and never expect anything like it again.
I like how a show that is supposedly here to teach us how to survive after college graduation has its protagonist moving into a fancy apartment one day after their college graduation. Relatable!
This show has been in the can for like two years and kept getting pushed back, which makes me think they probably know it's going to tank.
I think I'd rank Rose and Martha above Clara, and I like Amy/Rory better than Jack, but otherwise I agree.
Also Streetlight Manifesto, if you're counting ska-punk.
I'm watching the last few episodes of Season 3, and it's making me appreciate how amazing it is that they managed to make Chang a half-likable character in Seasons 5 and 6 after the disaster he was here. Jesus.
It has definitely gotten to the point where Hulu is better than Netflix for TV libraries, but Netflix's originals keep them vital.
We had a discussion about this earlier. Basically, comedy is a lot more niche, especially now. There's not really comedies that "everyone" watches the way there are dramas with stuff like Game of Thrones, Fargo, Better Call Saul, ect. Even You're the Worst (arguably the most universally acclaimed comedy right now)…
It's a good show but I think it's being a bit overrated due to its pedigree. I didn't think it really stood out this year among all of the other great TV.
Yeah, I don't know if I have ever seen an opening credits sequence that captures its show so well. I also love how they subtly change it depending on what's happening on the show (adding the Secretariat set in S2, removing Wanda after the break-up).
Much like its Tina Fey/Robert Carlock predessecor, I've found UKS to be an immensely rewatchable show.
