I could see it!
I could see it!
I think it's just kind of a natural thing with writers who have distinct comic voices. I feel the same thing about Schur when I watch Brooklyn 99, and Harmon when I watch Rick & Morty.
I think the actor who plays the tutor is the same as the one who played Astronaut Mike Dexter, right? They look exactly alike.
The pilot was better at plot and introducing the world, but this one made me feel like I was back at home in the Fey/Carlock world, with rapid-fire one-liners.
The Ms. Piggy costume was an amazing visual gag.

I know you are….
Don't Trust the B always felt a little 30 Rock-y to me so it makes sense.
I feel like people would probably be more forgiving if the show wound up on network television, where most shows have a few bad episodes in their first season. But a streaming show is expected to be more of a complete product.
Yeah, NBC definitely couldn't have made this work. FOX is the only network that might've been able to do something with it.
I've only seen the first two but I'm loving it already. I've really missed Fey/Carlock's one-liners and I'm interested in how it seems more interested in arc plotting than 30 Rock was.
It was completely written and shot with the intention of being on NBC. The only thing that changed was that they were able to keep in some scenes that would've been cut for time.
I think it just depends on what you like. 30 Rock's darkly absurdist take on reality was just more my speed, but I still appreciated and loved what Parks & Rec did.
I've only seen the first two but Kimmy is definitely a more well-rounded character than Kenneth. The show in general seems a little bit more interested in slow-burn character work than 30 Rock was.
Are you all done already?! HOW DO YOU PEOPLE WATCH THINGS SO FAST
"Make this look like a birthday party and not the reception for an Appalachian incest wedding."
"AND NOW THE HOMEOWNERS ARE TAKING THE HOUSE OFF OF THE MARKET"
"You're the homeowner."
"…Still, though."
I'm really excited for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The reviews say it's basically the new 30 Rock, and I am totally okay with that.
It's one of the few TV show Twitter accounts that actually seems to get the show it's supposed to be promoting.
Definitely in Manhattan, but if you go to Queens or some of the not-totally-gentrified parts of Brooklyn, you can find plenty of shares in the $600-$800 range.
