Wellll, AD did get renewed the year after it won the Emmy.

I think it'll scrape by, mostly because I don't think this live action experiment is going to pan out. Though it's a bit of a Sophie's Choice for AV Club favorites, considering one of those shows is Brooklyn 99.

Season 8 is a pretty interesting season from a critical standpoint, even if it's not necessarily my favorite. It really functions well as a great "final season" to the golden era, even ignoring the quality dip that would take place in the next few seasons. There's lots of episodes that have the feel of a show that's

Wow, Mulaney is so bad it doesn't even warrant coverage? That's disappointing. I knew the first few episodes were rough but I was hoping it was a "the potential is there!" kind of deal.

It's not back until 2015.

The uproar over the finale suggests that most people did not watch the show on your wavelength and felt that the show's ending was a major betrayal of the show they thought they were watching. You having a different opinion on it doesn't invalidate their feelings. The producers of HIMYM aren't suddenly absolved

This episode and Robot of Sherwood would fit in nicely with the RTD era, for sure.

This episode felt like a mix between 42 and The God Complex. I liked it, though!

Power of Three is the episode that most reminded me of the RTD era for some reason. Probably the alien invasion!

Actually, I think Midnight proved why Clara was necessary, even if she didn't really do anything. There's no way the other heist members would've trusted the Doctor without Clara saying "no, it's okay, he's cool."

I watched the first few and really enjoyed them, but fell off for some reason. I really need to finish the season. Seems right up my alley.

Apparently some lonely guest is out there watching 30 Rock Season 6 because I've been getting likes on comments I made on those episodes for like, the past 2 weeks.

Holy shit, The Mysteries of Laura is one of the most tonally confused shows I've ever seen. There is a scene where Laura wipes the blood of the person she just shot off of a hostages' face and it is played as slapstick comedy with quirky music in the background.

Yeah, I said this above, but TV comedy is far above film comedy, and it has been for quite some time. When was the last time there was a comedy film on par with something like 30 Rock or Arrested Development?

Ken Jeong is a relatively small part of Community so I don't know why he would be a dealbreaker for the entire show.

Community is far better than pretty much any comedy film made in the past 5 years.

It's such a perfect combination of sweet and horrifying.

Dear Liz Lemon,

Also this guy is only 21! He played a troubled youth on Brooklyn Nine-Nine last year!
