Super late, but…I really, really liked this episode. I know it's only a half-Moffat script, but I feel like it was crackling with that Moffat twisty genius that was missing in Season 7. It was complex but not too complex, tied things together without underlining them five times, and was just a really interesting study

Mine is almost exclusively the HD seasons but every once in a while they randomly drop a classic episode, then, maddeningly, go right back to the new seasons.

The important part is that they seem like they're actually going to be airing classic episodes instead of the just the rotating cycle of the past 5 years that most of the syndicated packages entail. It's mostly Season 1 and 2 episodes on the schedule the next few weeks.

"Towels, those ladders, towels"

I really liked him in Season 1 (and of course in Sandwich Day, a contender for the best episode the show ever did) but I haaaated his re-appearence in S4.

To be fair, Liz often tells Frank to put on pants.

30 Rock's message, especially during the early seasons when we were smack-dab in the George W. Bush era, was "yeah, conservatives like Jack Donaghy are awful but they're running the world because we're all kind of a mess".

I don't know that TGS is bad because Liz is a bad writer. I always figured it's mostly bad because of the ridiculous meddling from executives (Jack) and the fact that no one other than Liz really gives a shit about it.

I actually think OITNB might have a better shot if it submits to drama next year. Breaking Bad is done, they're over Mad Men and didn't really warm to True Detective.

From the "TV isn't as good as movies!" monologue to the slew of ridiculous wins (Breaking Bad aside), this year's Emmys really confirmed that the Academy doesn't know jack shit about TV.

"Oh, boy, I'm going to be constructive here: you should kill yourself."

For a while MF's wins made sense because it was the biggest show nominated…but it's not even that anymore. TBBT is way bigger and arguably so is OITNB, so the only reason I can imagine it keeps winning is that the Academy doesn't feel like watching any new shows.

I would actually prefer if TBBT won because the internet outrage would be really funny. Modern Family is just such a boring choice. Even the cast looked bored up there.

Something definitely needs to be done about that, but I'm not sure this is the answer.

It's really kind of sad. I don't know what happened to the comments section on this site. I mean, there's still plenty of good but I've never seen a gang-up on this level (and one where most of the assholes aren't even being called out but are instead being praised). All because they disagreed with a review of a

It's been the same for me? Just a Disqus glitch I guess?

There's "bigoted" and then there's "writing jokes on Twitter". No one is advocating the lynching of white men but I think us white dudes can handle a few quips on the internet every now and then.

Good Simpsons episodes end tomorrow on FXX. I'm pretty sad about it. I've been obsessed with this marathon even though I only Seasons 1-9 on DVD. THERE'S JUST SOMETHING SO FUN ABOUT WATCHING IT LIVE ON TV
