Oh, I agree that End of Time is a mess, but Season 4 overall is a really good season in my opinion. (Though I'm not too big on Journey's End either).

Yeah I think Clara and 11 were too similar to be a good pairing. I felt the same way about 10/Rose.

I actually thought RTD's last season was his best one, and Moffat's first season has far outweighed anything he's done since.

To be fair, 11th Hour had the luxury of just blowing everything up and starting new. This episode had a little bit more baggage to deal with, which makes it more comparable to Christmas Invasion. I'd say it compares favorably to that one.

Who riots more, the townspeople of Springfield or the students of Greendale?

It's extremely hard to be productive now that the Simpsons marathon is in Season 4.

To me Season 9 is still pretty good with some all-time classics. (Of course, many of them weren't produced under Scully's reign but that's beside the point). Things start going off the rails in Season 10 and 11 & 12 are pretty much wall-to-wall awful.

Scully is a good writer but a terrible showrunner. He wrote some great episodes during the golden years, but the show went to shit under his run.

Yeah, I don't know. I also thought it was really weird that they never brought Bianca back past Season 1. Isabella Rossellini even said she was up for it!

Yeah, Donald mentioned that everyone thought Stone Mountain was a hilarious name for a town and wrote it into the script.

I mentioned this in another thread about 30 Rock recently, but I was really sad that they never brought Gretchen back. I mean, it made sense but she was such a good friend for Liz!

The entire cast is contractually obligated to return, I think. Their contracts expire after this season though and I bet a few of them may not be easy to get back though.

You take a hot dog, stuff it with some jack cheese, fold it in a pizza…

I think part of 30 Rock's evolution into cartoonishness could be explained that the insanity of the entertainment industry got to all of the characters, though. It's why I'm more okay with it on 30 Rock than a lot of other shows.

I think the strength of the last season really redeemed some of the middle seasons. At the time everyone thought the show had just abandoned its characters' arcs and committed to full out lunacy, but with the last season it became obvious that they always had a plan and were just waiting until the definitive end of

Yeah, in comparison to other comedy pilots it's at least a B. It's not a great episode of television but it holds a lot of potential, which is all I really look for in a pilot.

I was always kind of upset they never brought Gretchen back. She was such a good friend for Liz!

Yeah, aside from the somewhat shaky pilot I thought 30 Rock was pretty great right off the bat. Blind Date is fucking hysterical.

WELL THIS MAKES SENSE

The villains were awful and I was disappointed at how much of a non-entity Nebula was. It was the only mark against what I otherwise thought was a really great movie. I kept waiting for Nebula to get a "moment" and it just never happened.
