I kind of hate that ending. I just really don't like Basic Sandwich as an ending at all. If I felt the show ended well I would be 10x less sad about this.

In all honesty, I think our best hope of more Community is some sort of Kickstarter-esque movie. I just don't see a streaming deal happening. I think a fan-backed movie could absolutely happen though.
Hulu does original shows. It's probably our only hope. I think a Kickstarter-esque wrap-up movie is more likely though.
There is also the possibility that NBC is done with renewals meaning Community, Fisher, and Parenthood are all dead….:)
Guys About a Boy is getting a second season!!!!! Aren't you all so pumped
Selfie sounds really dumb but it has Karen Gillan in it and is produced by Emily Kapnek, so I will probably try it. Also, on ABC, having a terrible title usually means the show is super good!
They seem to have taken a bit of a credibility hit since that whole Nellie thing.
But they have to realize Growing Up Fisher will probably get like, a 0.5 if they do that.
I thought networks didn't even give two shits about Live+7 numbers! I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ANYMORE
UGH TODD
It worked when he was a selfish teenager, but as he gets older and fails to change it's getting more frustrating. Him blaming Frankie for his landlord screw-up was pretty awful.
Definitely. It's a little annoying either way to me, though, and it's led to a bunch of false shit springing up this year. (Remember when we thought Dads AND Mixology might come back?!)
I'm not really a huge fan of the "I hear ____ is happening!" culture of TV reporting, either. Just seems manipulative. I feel like it started with Deadline. (Though it's probably just an internet thing in general).
At least Cougar Town didn't get the Friday treatment, thus allowing TBS to pick it up. I really think USA would've swooped in for Happy Endings if it weren't for those 0.5s it was getting on Fridays.
There have been few shows treated more spitefully by their network than Happy Endings. After spending a season as the best Modern Family retainer to date, it was rewarded with a death slot following a show it shared no audience with. Then when it predictably failed and other networks showed interest in picking it up,…
I feel like Terra Nova finally killed that trend.
How about the fact that they didn't put Trophy Wife there to begin with? On what planet were Super Fun Night and Mixology going to be hits? Was their strategy "let's just make Happy Endings but have everyone hate it?".
I don't think the "Friday bad news dump" counts when it's the Friday before Upfronts. Lots of shows haven't been renewed yet that are 100% getting renewed (About a Boy, The Middle)
The thing, every network has shit to worry about now, because all of network TV is dying. So NBC is not totally out of shit's creek because it's on a dying medium that it getting less and less relevant each year. But at this point I'd say they're in a better position than ABC and Fox, and while CBS is still stronger…
THE SOUL TRAIN AWARDS WERE TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
