I'm with you. Murder the Mountains was one of my favorites from this year.

Two words:
JLP, his Daredevil run is OK. But if you limit your options, I highly recommend "Sleeper," another book he did with Phillips. That's where my blurry avatar is from. "Sleeper" is one of my favorite comic books of all-time. I own two original pages from it. It blows my goddam mind, and I'm jealous that you will be…
Brubaker OWWWWWNS.
Have you read Criminal? It's better than Cap.
They'd just cut out the zombie attacks. And any mention of zombies.
Like Jenner said at the CDC, our country runs on fossil fuels. Need to shovel coal into the fire, etc.
I don't know. There was no gate. I actually liked that part of the comic book series. It was a fairly tight, scary situation. Something the TV show could use more of. Maybe they could turn it into an episode?
Thank you. I totally agree. This show has just exacerbated the weaknesses of the comic, which is a shame.
Speaking of the technical aspects of the show, the main reason I tune in is for Greg Nicotero's incredible special effects. I didn't even get that this episode — I thought there was some pretty shitty CGI gore.
That would be kind of awesome.
Which means that it definitely will not happen.
I think the first 6 issues are the highlight of the series.
Adlard > Moore
As a huge fan of Wonder Woman, what would you say her defining moment is? What's the one storyline or trade that you point people to?
I think these are important questions, because if you want someone to be a Wonder Woman fan, where do you send them first?
Go for the HC! Empowered is one of my favorite series. It's hilarious.
When he said, "and other sources of Norse mythology," I can only presume he was referring to Amon Amarth.
Actually, most of their albums haven't dealt extensively with those topics. So this is somewhat of a departure for them. And even though this concept album sounds stereotypical, I am positive The Roots will explore these themes in a fucking amazing way.
You cite some of my favorite horror films - "Alien" and "The Thing" are tops. One reason why I love them is that they feature terrific characters. I dig Parker, Ripley, Childs, and MacReady. Maybe one reason why I find those films so scary is because I feel emotionally invested in the characters, and I feel terrified…
Thanks for the info. I'm going to catch up with Detective, but wait on Gates.
Yeah, thankfully the interior artwork isn't as shiny as Ross's design. I think his best designs were for Kingdom Come and Astro City.
As long as we're mentioning favorite Batman stories, I wanted to mention a couple off the beaten path.
I find Alex Ross's "realistic" artwork to be stiff and lifeless.
However, he's terrific at designing costumes. If DC had asked him to design the costumes for the relaunch, maybe they wouldn't have looked like ass.
