I agree that Kirkman can write some creepy scenes. However, I'd argue that there's too many "exposition-dump"s in the Walking Dead comic. Too much talking, not enough zombie carnage, especially lately.

I think Thompson's artwork is gorgeous. I wish he wrote as well as he drew. Blankets was nearly 600 pages long, and yet it felt light and trifling. I haven't read Habibi yet.
