The Ballad of La La land (Sung to the tune of the Mountain Goats' The Ballad of Bull Ramos)
I'm getting a real Leonard Cohen "Democracy is coming to the USA" vibe from the lead single.
They all moved to Bushwick
Get Lonely dead last? SOMEONE has never experienced a depressive episode on top of a great external loss… But I would almost reverse your list for myself, with some exceptions…
Not that they have been since All Hail West Texas, but this is a whole new leap. If Tallahassee was his Dylan Going Electric, this is his Dylan going Christian. Should be good!
From the Band Camp:

Bonus points for including tapes! Points deducted for including Hail and Farewell Gothenburg.
No newswire for it yet, but the Mountain Goats are also going to be releasing a new album called Goths! Which, with a name like that, is sure to be sick as Hell.

Sorry to be this voice, but this is just a pretty plain cash grab on the part of the AV club. I can see the analytics guys saying "BUY BIG ON SERIAL! BUY! WE NEED A PODCAST! BUY! A SERIAL PODCAST!" Is that too cynical of me? It's like this thing nobody here acknowledges about the AV Club's direction. Or maybe they do…
Throwing fuel into that D.B. Cooper fire, eh?
