Where the fuck is that kid? Oh wait, they threw us out of here.

You don't buy a mule, you rent that surly sonofabitch
That's a good point, yeah. And thinking on it some more displaying photos of the parents of kids with Mei's condition that Prax knows about might have sparked recognition. But something like that would probably have required forethought that Holden & co. didn't have at the best of times, let alone in a crisis…
As I understand it, a nuclear bomb gnerally has concentric rings of fissile material separated out inside the warhead, and the level of radiation they kick out indivudually is far less than when they're pushed together to create a critical mass (and resultant explosion).
I read through issue 2 last night to screen for spoilers for a friend who's not seen issue 2 yet. (Given issue 2 is about Naomi, and there's a lot of stuff in her background that hasn't been revealed in the show yet), but there's nothing huge in there that the show hasn't already brought forward or strongly hinted…
I felt the kicks were a bit weedy, but her punches and when she slammed the guy against the wall were fine. And I loved that she went to disarm one of them only for the gun to be biometrically locked.
>>That being said, I was disappointed that there was no attempt to talk or reason at all with what was obviously a human at one point. Even if there was just a 20 second scene of when power was cut to the engines initially when it peered at him and he attempted to talk.<<
I loved Selina showing Gary optimal moves to make, probably not realising he wasn't taking them to ensure she'd win.
I love that he managed to self-censor and say eff you when he was on TV. He's learned some restraint
They're fucking primordial
Last week, you were saying that you think the show's done the heavy lifting to insert the book's last scene as a cliffhanger next week, even though the story's not done yet, and I'm starting to think that's a goer. Considering that the wrote out the six-odd month gap between Leviathan Wakes and Caliban's War for the…
I really liked how they've handled the Holden/Naomi stuff in the show. It keeps the character arc in place while recontextualising it somewhat. This week especially was about survivor's guilt and how Holden and Naomi both have it and deal with it in different ways, and it's clearly leading out of the different…
Same here. Errinwright's talk with his kid got me too. I blame impending middle age for all this.
Martens explicitly said Bobbie would get the firing squad for striking him between the first hit and when she went to town on him.
I made sure to watch series 1 on Netflix even though I - achem acquired the show through other means beforehand. And I'll do the same for series 2
I far preferred Cibola Burn to Abaddon's Gate
I laughed so much at all the noise after Amos threw the grenade back in, it reminded me of the gags in Archer when someone would drop something and the sound effects would go on for ages.
Killjoys series 1 has just hit Netflix in Ireland. Worth a watch?
I yelled out "ooooh, what a lie!" as soon as she said no. I then showed that bit to my wife, who doesn't watch the show and she agreed Naomi was clearly lying. Between this and mentioning the Inaros faction last week, it's been some great foreshadowing.
I can't remember if the books say any more than they're mirrors in orbit, but the idea of a mirror network to direct and amplify sunlight in the outer solar system is an old idea. I think I first saw it in the Mars Trilogy back in the 90s.
