Game of Thrones releases its first good (even great) string of episodes since its third season and no recognition given? Come on, AVC!

Can anyone confirm that this book is actually good, or just another book by Dave Eggers? I found the review lacking.

The acting in that movie was undoubtedly great across the board, but especially from Naomi Watts

Agree to disagree. I thought the film's final third (where Kong is shipped to New York) to be equal parts heartbreaking and totally engrossing.

In a roundabout way, yeah. My point was more that Jackson's Kong is the high watermark (I understand I am in the minority here) and I don't want it to be cheapened by a slew of awful remakes so close to that movie's release. Sort of what happened, and continues to happen, to the Spiderman industry. The first two

I mean yeah, the trailer is cool. And Brie Larson is a total babe. But Jackson's King Kong (in addition to being probably the last good movie Peter Jackson will ever make) is already the quintessential Kong movie and we should all just leave it at that. Fuck.

*is the best

Tony Soprano

I forgive this show for any and all faults it may have because it literally contains or references some of my favorite things, ever. In short form:

experiencing Impossible Soul live is the highlight of my life.

Came for the Winona, stayed for the Winona.

MACGRUBER!

I mean, I love Wet Hot American Summer. Is it the best comedy of the past nearly two decades? Absolutely fucking not.

There is still good in this world.

Really surprised that If I Was a Folkstar is not getting more attention in the reviews I've read. That sing is four and a half minutes of pure gold.

Or it is you that has the shite taste, pal.

Say what you want about Tom Cruise, but the guy is the only actor around that is consistently good in action movies. So much chutzpah!

I remember first listening to Swans several years ago while driving through the Utah desert. The music seemed to fit intimately with that setting, almost surreally. About to head to Moab this weekend, thrilled I have some new Swans to once again create a nightmarish atmosphere of doom and gloom. Oh joy!

Zodiac is such a great fucking movie. Easily one of his best, and one of the more underrated movies ever made.

Yup, agreed. There were actually several moments for me throughout Watchmen that I found to be incredible.
