I think it is a great fucking movie but can understand where people would disagree.

If you appreciate well-rounded, logical storytelling and scoff at over-the-top fan service and cheap thrills, then I can almost guarantee you'll hate it.

I can't decide what is more ridiculous - the show itself, or the fact that certain crazy people think it is some sort of masterpiece.

I was necessarily bothered by the violence per se. I just thought the use of it was excessive to the point where I gained nothing from it. I refuse to question its greatness; it just wasn't for me I guess.

I really wanted to enjoy it and, to be sure, it was very finely written. Especially the parts written from Harold's POV, which were my favorite. And pretty much everyone I know who read it had only great things to say. Upon finishing, however, the one word that popped into my head that described it best was
