So humanoid normative.

More realistically I guess women would have to strangle their sons at birth since most places in the world wouldn't be able to determine sex beforehand. Either way, good times.

That "snow" scene was perhaps one of the dumbest things this show has ever done.

Brown's Libertarianism and obsession with prostitution may be his Ditko tipping point.

Oh dear god

DKR is important b/c in 1986 superhero comics art had become so self referential that few artists at DC or Marvel had any significant influence outside of their own genre. Despite many of its questionable takes and themes Miller did effectively utilize a more varied approach to the comics language itself. It's so full

Lowe struggles with some of the chit chat but the basketball info is as good as a mainstream source gets.

I gave up on the books. The characters, themes and plot points were all interesting but I just couldn't take the prose style. So painful.

Sitting too far back to hit the screen?

I really enjoy the "Sensual Santa" but might throw "Ice Haven" out as his best.

I can't remember if we are talking about Batman or Donald Trump.

Not if he's becoming so dark and grim that only a sociopath would still consider him a hero

You not being from the US I guess forgives you for not knowing the loaded nature of that term. Oil companies and their bought politicians have made careers here convincing the rabble that they shouldn't trust scientists and other "elites" on issues b/c they drive Priuses, eat kale and sip Chardonnay.

Oh, I meant Rises. I get that junk mixed up.

Batman is dour in Dark Knight Strikes Again but there is (attempted) humor throughout it.

I'll let all the reviewers who make $50 a review for the Free Weeklies they write for that they are now the elites.

They "lash out" b/c they believe the film and the film maker are "bad". In our day and age of diminishing print journalism I would hardly consider film reviewers to be the elite of anything. Especially in comparison to the execs at Warner Bros and its associated Marketing agencies.

So less than half a million people have seen this thing. How many people on the planet? How many people went to this movie b/c "Batman" is in the title? How many even know who Zack Snyder is? Actually we are not in the minority.

The tactic of accusing people with differing opinions than yours as being "elites" is what is taught. Clearly PhD's are plucked from the heavens like stars.

The only dilemma is that most of us on this board would be up for some films made about these characters that we like by nearly any other director besides the uniquely untalented Zack Snyder. I will leave you to your own "performative dilemmas".
