The problem with the dark elves in the MCU was that Malekith was such a snooze, not that they shot some laser beams.

Sci-fi has been a big chunk of Thor since the mid 60s. That line has been blurry for awhile now. I thought the viking ships in Thor 2 were great.

I'm no fan of the royals, "off with their heads" and all, but I found it engaging.

Might be time to take it down a notch.
