Or a time-traveler from World War III coming back to stop the Manhattan Project from destroying New Mexico?

Hey, at least you get to go on the Internet at work.

The early crossovers were understated or "events" - something big affects all the books (like The Evolutionary War, Atlantis Attacks or Acts of Vengenace) but you didn't have to buy every book - and often they were confined to the annuals.  Then we get into things like X-Cutioner's Song or the awful Phalanx Covenant,

Marvel isn't batting a thousand, but they're certainly out of the chaotic 90s where they just kept screwing up over and over.

The alternate May from the Earth X series was probably as good as it was going to get.  Although that was pretty damn good.

Well, half the time he's called "Nemesis".  And he's gone.

Marvel didn't retcon so much as throw up their hands and say "We can't figure out what to do with the story, just as long as you realize that it wasn't Magneto".
And Magneto isn't so much a 'good guy' now as much as he's… 'guy'.

No, that was always my problem as well,  Vampires are supposed to be monstrous beings (which we only see in their purest form in the finale) that take the place of human souls in bodies - but with all the memories and such intact.
Of course, it pales with the stupidest plot element in Buffy - the gypsy "curse" that

We haven't seen the evil Superman yet.  Neither Bizarro nor Ultraman have a goatee.

Is that really a question you want answered?

Three words: Exit to Eden.

An article about the history of the movie Clue was the only thing I noticed on my Facebook, other than "ordinary life" stuff.  (Then again, I tend to block people trying to be surrogate news sources)

There are suggestions that we may have seen PB - or someone(thing?) related - in "Simon and Marcy".

My memory as a kid that always stands out was Connery tricking an assassin into shattering the hydroponics, causing him to be ejected into space.

There seemed to be an "80s space future" where everything was dirty and cramped; that may just be my memories of Outland and Alien, though.  It always seemed a more 'realistic' take on space travel.

Wait, someone already registered "DrBeat"?

I love the fact that you somehow separate "average Joe moviegoers" from the Internet.
Some things are indeed PRETTY GOOD.  Nothing you mentioned is on that list.

It would've been more dramatic if prior Big Events hadn't killed much more civilians.  And we're not talking NYC only - there's been plenty of small towns wiped off the face of Earth.  Pretending like this was the first time something had happened like this was absurd.

This, a million times over.  They've stated multiple times that they have a crazy amount of backstory they'll never even use - this would be the perfect way to put it forth.

But he has changed in one way - he seems to actually be acting like a father now, more than his own dad ever did, now that the clones are gone.
